When approaching this conversation, try phrasing concerns with “I feel”, “I’ve noticed” or “I would appreciate if…” instead of pointing fingers. Be polite in telling your neighbors that you are attempting to sell your home, and make sure you are clear on what behavior needs to change. 3) Contact Outside Help
If the first two tips don’t work, you may need to contact someone outside of the situation to help. If your neighbors are renters, try to find the contact information for the landlord. If they own the home, reach out to your HOA or the city itself.
Take the time to look into your neighborhood’s noise ordinances and other rules to see if there are any laws being broken. Oftentimes, especially under a HOA, there are rules and regulations about how a home must be maintained. Lastly, if worst comes to worst, contact the authorities about any excessive noise, destructive behavior or illegal actions taking place on the property.
